There’s No Place Like Home

Lawrence, Kan. has been my home for the past 3 years.  I transferred from the University of Central Oklahoma to the University of Kansas in 2008 and it has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve made in my life.  I fell in love with lawrence the first time I came to visit and all it has to offer.  One of my favorite things about Lawrence is the people who live here.  Ranging from the eccentric, the artsy, the hippie, the fratters, the average college student or the wandering travelers lining the streets of Mass who are always trying to hitch a ride back to California… there has never been a dull moment in Lawrence.  It’s a melting pot for people of all color, beliefs and background which I love.  Aside from the people, Mass street has offered many good times as well, whether it be shopping during the day or going out with good friends at night.  As much as I love Lawrence, this place I’ve called home for the past 3 years is soon to be a memory.  I graduated this spring and it’s time toto and I packed our bags and headed to the big city where dreams are made.   Even though Lawrence will soon be a memory, a little piece of my heart will always remain in this city.  It’s a place everyone should visit because it speaks for itself.
